Alan McLellan

Alan McLellan, CEO

When Seaview Marina became a Council Controlled Organization in 2003 Alan was recruited as CEO to support the new Board in developing the marina from a very basic facility, to what is now, one of the best marinas in New Zealand.

Alan gained a Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering at Lincoln University and during his working career has been an engineer, a university lecturer, consulted overseas and held a variety of senior management positions. However, the last 10 years at Seaview Marina has provided Alan with his most satisfying role.

He is passionate about the marina industry in New Zealand. Alan holds the Intermediate Marina Management qualification.

A keen yachtsman, Alan has sailed the Pacific and has a keen interest in all types of sailing and boating. His other interests include keeping fit, cycling, classical music and design.

Mike Croft

Mike Croft, Boatyard Supervisor

Mike Croft started work at Seaview Marina in 2008 as Marina Maintenance Dockhand.  In his current role as Boatyard Supervisor Mike is responsible for running the extensive marina boat yard operation, overseeing all maintenance schedules and ensuring a safe working environment.

Mike has brought a wide range of skills to Seaview Marina.  After serving an engineering apprenticeship at the Railways he moved into sales.  This led him to becoming the manager of a used car dealership.  Prior to coming to Seaview Marina Mike was in the engineering trade.

Mike is passionate about boating and has owned numerous boats which he has both raced and cruised.  He is married with two daughters and lives in Days Bay.


Tony Kelly 1-886


Tony Kelly, Compliance and Maintenance

Boat Builder Tony Kelly joined the marina team in August 2015.

Tony has been repairing boats for over eighteen years, the last sixteen have seen him based out of Seaview Marina - first with Wellington Boatbuilders and then with Boatworks.

When not working, Tony enjoys a quiet life around the bays with wife Deb and daughter Holly.

Tracey Alexander, Administrator

Tracey is the newest addition to the Seaview Marina team. She has a Bachelor of Business Studies degree and 13 years’ experience in a variety of administrative roles, including providing support to a number of boards.

While she is a keen recreational fisher, Tracey is new to the boating industry and looks forward to developing a sound knowledge of the marina operations.

When she is not working Tracey enjoys a quiet life with her family, tramping, mountain-biking and practicing yoga.

Alison Watt

Alison Watt, Administrator (part time)

Alison has been at Seaview Marina since 2012.  She has over 12 years experience as a personal assistant, receptionist, project manager and office manager in various fields.

She currently works Monday to Thursday.

Alison spends her spare time enjoying family, renovating, keeping up some level of fitness and travelling.
