What To Do In Seaview

Whether you are at Seaview Marina for a short visit or with us long term, there is plenty on offer in the surrounding area.

For Ponsonby-like food culture check out Petone's Jackson Street, just a few minutes from the marina.  Petone also has Te Puna Wai Ora, a natural spring which provides pure artisan water, filtered by layers of sand and gravel.  Locals and visitors alike flock to fill up containers of this amazing resource.

Golfers are spoilt for choice with Shandon Golf Club a stones throw away, a driving range and for the family, an excellent mini golf course.

A short walk or drive is The Boatshed at Days Bay, where you can hire kayaks or bikes to explore the area.  The East By West Ferry operates a regular service which leaves from Days Bay and heads to Wellington city.  This is a lovely way to get across and see what is available in the central city.

A little further around is New Zealand's first lighthouse, the Pencarrow Lighthouse, a must see when visiting Wellington.  Hire a bike to get there faster from the kiosk at the start of the track.

For those of you who don't want to go far from the marina at all, there is the Lowry Bay Yacht Club - providing yacht racing events, music, entertainment, meals and a full bar.  Check their website for details.

There is a bus stop at the corner of the marina - please ask at the marina office if you require assistance with timetables, travel or recommendations for local eateries while visiting.
